Tridonic of Dornbirn, Austria, introduced the flexible LLE FLEX IP67 EXCITE continuous row. The LLE FLEX IP67 EXCITE can be installed in moisture-prone rooms, such as bathrooms. The IP67 rating certifies that the device can operate reliably even when exposed to dust and water. Tridonic contends that the device’s stable color temperature without any chromaticity coordinate shift it to be combined with other continuous rows.
Tridonic says that its airGAP technology used in the manufacturing process enables the device to avoid chromaticity coordinate shift, which would otherwise be typical for such a high degree of protection. The company says that the IP67 continuous row is especially suitable for applications demanding high lighting quality with high degree of protection.
All Excite Continuous Row Versions have CRI Above 90
According to Tridonic, the continuous row of LED at 6mm intervals is dimmable and operates at a constant 24 V and produces homogeneous light. All versions of the LLE FLEX IP67 EXCITE feature a color rendering index above 90, and the versions achieve module efficiencies of up to 100 lumens per watt (LPW).
The continuous row comes in versions that deliver 600, 1,200 or 1,800 lm/m in length and have color temperatures of 2,700, 3,000 and 4,000 K (binned at SDCM 3). The rows can be cut to the desired length in 50 mm increments, and the continuous row comes on self-adhesive film that can be mounted on various surfaces.
Tridonic specially developed connectors, terminals or end caps for the LLE FLEX to make handling and mounting easy and guarantee a high degree of protection during operation. When used with manufacturer-specific constant voltage LED drivers (fixed output or dimmable), the device offers a projected service life of up to 50,000 hours.
