Osram Opto Semiconductors introduced the mid-power Osconiq S3030.
The company says that it designed the new Osconiq S3030 to meet the demands of dynamic general lighting applications requiring long life and high performance.
Also, Osram Opto Semiconductors created the new Osconiq S3030 for use in outdoor and industrial lighting. According to the company, the Osconiq S3030 offers high quality LED light with exceptional durability, even in extreme operating conditions. Furthermore, the LEDs boast a long lifetime of 75,000 hours, even at high temperatures.
Osconiq Mid-Power LEDs Achieve up to 146 LPW
The mid-power LEDs employ an optimized phosphor and feature a lead frame, and they achieve up to 146 lumens per watt (LPW) efficiency.

Overall, the company asserts that the mid-power Osconiq S3030 delivers competitive brightness, lifetime, and reliability.
“In keeping up with the latest market demands, the Osconiq S3030 takes professional lighting solutions to another level in both outdoor and indoor uses, as well as industrial applications,” said Todd Bartol, North America Director of General Lighting at Osram Opto Semiconductors. “Our customers benefit from our unique Osram-designed sapphire chip and robust silicone that enable the stability of LED lighting.”
The Osconiq S3030 LEDs come in two versions (CRI 70 or 80) with a luminous flux of 138 to 148 lm and a power rating of 1.0 W at 6 V. The footprint of both versions measures just 3.0 mm x 3.0 m x 3.0 mm, and the color temperatures range from 2,700 to 6,500 K. The LEDs also feature a beam angle of 120° and an extremely low thermal resistance of about 8.9 K/W.
In addition to the performance enhancements, the company constructs the Osconiq S3030 with professional grade materials including long-life packaging subcomponents and proprietary coatings. Osram Opto Semiconductors says it validated these materials via extensive testing under extreme overload conditions. Moreover, the company says that the EMC (epoxy molding compound) lead frame material greatly increases the lifetime and improves the reliability of the LEDs compared to conventional PPA and PCT materials.
