Oslon Black Flat family of multichip LEDs recognized as best products in the industry

Editors at Electronic Products Magazine evaluated a pool of thousands of products launched in 2015, specifically on the basis of innovative design, significant advancement in technology or application and substantial achievement in price and performance.

Osram recently received accolades from Electronic Products Magazine, a leading trade publication for electronic design engineers, as the Oslon Black Flat product family received the esteemed Product of the Year Award in the LED category.

The product lineup features a very high light output and enables greater design freedom for headlight manufacturers and automakers, not possible with traditional light sources and first-generation LED technology. Used in automotive lighting applications, the Oslon Black Flat family features optimized UX:3 technology, greater thermal stability of the luminous flux and improved corrosion robustness.

Moreover, the Oslon Black Flat multichip family simplifies high performance LED forward lighting, making LED lighting more affordable without sacrificing design and performance. This product family not only ushers in a new era of digital lighting functionality, but as the first surface mountable device for headlamp lighting, will drive rapid adoption into mass market vehicle applications.
