Nichia has introduced a family of UV LEDs that includes several high-powered models. The highest power LED model is the NVSU333A, which comes in 405nm, 385nm, and 365nm and has a typical output power of 4,640 mW, 4,640 mW, and 3640 mW, respectively. The NVSU333A employs an operating current of 3.55 V, 3.75 V, and 3.85 V respectively. The NVSU333A has a 120-degree beam angle.
Nichia has also released two other high-power UV LEDs for UV curing. The company claims that the new UV LEDs the NVSU233A and NVSU233A-D1 are the ‘world standard’ for UV curing applications. According to Nichia, the NVSU233A and NVSU233A-D1 are perfect for high precision UV curing, ink curing (printing), and counterfeit detection.

The NVSU233A and NVSU233A-D1 LEDs deliver over 1 watt UV output. They feature a high heat dissipation package and have a long projected lifetime. The NVSU233A and NVSU233A-D1 LEDs come in a 3.5mm by 3.5 mm package. A standard drive current of 1 amp drives the LEDs. The available wavelengths of both the NVSU233A and NVSU233A-D1 LED models include 365nm, 385nm, 395nm, and 405nm. The NVSU233A-D1 model features a glass dome lens. The NVSU233A is 1.23mm high and the NVSU233A-D1 with the glass dome lens is 2.73 mm in height. Both the NVSU233A and NVSU233A-D1 come in 405nm, 395nm, 385nm, and 365nm and have a typical operating current of 3.45 V, 3.55 V, 3.65 V, and 3.75 V respectively. All models of both LEDs have a maximum operating current of 4.2 V. Both LEDs have a typical output power of 1400mW, 1400mW, 1400mW, and 1030mW respectively. The NVSU233A has a 120-degree beam angle, and the dome lensed NVSU233A-D1 has a 60-degree beam angle.
Other newly released models include the lower power NCSU275, which comes in 405 down to 365nm wavelengths and has output powers of 370 mW down to 148 mW respectively. Other newly released domed lens models include the NCSU276A-P1 and NCSU276A which are mid-power UV LEDs.
