Excelitas Technologies Corp. introduced the new OmniCure® AC9 UV LED Curing Systems. The OmniCure AC9 UV LED curing systems can cure inks, adhesives, and coatings. According to Excelitas, the high-performing, and small form-factor of the air-cooled solution enable faster line speeds in industrial manufacturing and printing.
The OmniCure AC9300 and AC9300P, AC9225, AC9225P, AC9150, and AC9150P UV LED curing systems employ advanced front-end optics to deliver UV light that the company claims provides high power, high peak irradiance and exceptional uniformity. The OmniCure AC9 UV LED Curing Systems provide over 14 W/cm2 peak irradiance, enables fast curing at different working distances. A patented process addresses individual UV LED module outputs to produce even curing over the entire area.
The three AC9-P versions of the AC9 Series have a replaceable outer window for easier maintenance in printing applications at close working distances. The scalable design allows the adjoining of multiple heads for customization and flexibility without compromising on output uniformity. The output can be adapted to support specific process requirements for applications including industrial and electronics manufacturing, digital printing, touch panel/display, solar panel, conformal coatings and automotive.
The company notes that precise control of the UV irradiance level and time create a repeatable curing process that gives the correct dose of UV energy to be provided on every exposure. Excelitas says that Intelligent system monitoring and control ensures that the systems’ reliability meets the demands of any application. The air-cooled LED technology allows for seamless integration into new or existing production lines and eliminates the need for costly retooling, external cooling or ozone extraction. The curing systems are mountable in any orientation. External optical and mechanical accessories are also available upon request.
