For September, LED chip and epitaxial wafer maker Epistar has posted consolidated revenues of NT$2.476 billion (US$81.6 million). This monthly revenue represents the highest monthly level since April 2015, according to Epistar and a DigiTimes article. The monthly revenue grew 6.15% sequentially and 12.77% over the same month of last year.
The company cited the increased shipments of AlGaInP LED chips for plant-growing lamps and also expanded shipments of blue-light LED chips for backlight displays and for general lighting applications.
Epistar also recorded consolidated revenues of NT$7.057 billion (about US $230 million) for the third quarter.
The company says that it is the highest quarterly revenue since fourth-quarter 2014 with a growth of 6.27% compared to the previous quarter and 7.05% compared to the same quarter last year.
