Bridgelux of Fremont, California USA, has launched the Vesta Series platform of tunable white and dim-to-warm products during LIGHTFAIR International this week. The company says it created the Vesta Series to bring the latest tunable technology and adaptable lighting to healthcare, hospitality, and retail applications
The Vesta™ Series Tunable White Arrays come in nine millimeter (mm) and 13 mm diameter form factors, and the Vesta™ Series Tunable White Linear options are available in a range of standard and custom sizes. Bridgelux optimized the color mixing of the Vesta Series Tunable White Array products using chip scale package (CSP) technology.
According to Bridgelux, the Tunable White versions of the Vesta Series exhibit increased lumen density and can operate reliably at elevated currents. Also, the company says that they feature superior uniformity for applications requiring narrow beam angles. Furthermore, the company says that the smaller footprint allows the use of smaller optics.
Dimming and Color Temperature Control Separate
Tunable White Linear products utilize the Bridgelux surface mount (SMD) technology to economically work with what the Bridgelux describes as an easily configurable light source area. With both dim-to-warm and tunable white solutions, the company notes that customers can separately control dimming and color temperature.
The Vesta™ Series Dim-To-Warm Arrays mimic a conventional incandescent glow, and they come in a nine mm form factor with both six and 12 Watt (W) options, and a 15 mm form factor that consumes 33W. Bridgelux contends that the Dim-to-Warm arrays use a robust substrate for higher thermal conductivity and efficacy than many standard ceramic substrates, making it perfect for smaller fixtures.

Vesta Series Vesta Series Dim-To-Warm, Tunable White, and Tunable White Linear Arrays are now available for sampling, and Bridgelux will begin shipping them this summer.
